If you want to start sawing with a manual mill that can take on any project, then the LT15 was designed for you. Basic sawing operation is simple, and this rugged mill produces the same accurate lumber as every other Wood-Mizer sawmill.
The LT15 handles logs 28 inches in diameter by 17 feet, 8 inches feet long, plenty of capacity for most logs you'll encounter. The 2 by 6 inch box steel frame provides a rock solid foundation for the biggest logs.
The low bed profile makes it easy to roll logs onto the mill with a cant hook. 6 adjustable side supports and two log clamps secure the log, and allow you to cut within an inch of the bed.
When you're ready to begin sawing, you can quickly and precisely reposition the cutting head with the hand crank. The lumber scale will help you calculate your board dimensions to a 1/16th of an inch, and sawing grade lumber is easy with the quarter scale that already factor in the blade thickness, or kerf.
The blade is engaged manually and moved through the log by simply rotating the feed crank.
The convenient location of the blade lubrication valve makes it easy to keep your blade in optimal cutting condition. The adjustable blade guide arm keeps your blade supported while sawing different sized logs.
The LT15 comes with plenty of power to cut hardwoods and softwoods. In a Portable Sawmill competition, the LT15 produced more board feet of lumber per hour than any competitors in its class, sawing almost twice as much as Wood-Mizer's advertised rating.
